This year saw a lot of interesting must have gadgets ranging from drones, 3D printers, and health-focussed wearables. Although their themes were not so different from last years, the companies seemed to have tried making these ideas more affordable to the average person. From the lots of gadgets that made appearance at the CES 2016, here are the top electronic gadgets of 2016.
The Ehang 184
Though many drones made appearances this year, one that really stood out was the Ehang Passenger Drone built by the Chinese UAV Company Ehang. This drone features gull-wing doors and arms that fold up. It is able to carry passengers for over 23 minutes while flying at a speed of 60 MPH.
DietSensor SCiO Food Scanner
This gadget scans the chemical makeup of any food or drink that you are about to eat. It is ideal for dieters and those with conditions like celiac disease as it is able to scan your food and analyzes it to know whether it is fit for you depending on your dietary conditions. With gadgets like this, the lives of those living with conditions like gluten sensitivity and diabetes will be revolutionized.
Selling at $129 is the Grillbot which is for those grillers who don’t want to spend more on cleaning. It features three replaceable metal bristles to help it move and clean just like a roomba. There are three electric motors in it, an LCD alarm timer and a rechargeable battery. Although it can only work on surfaces cooler than 200 degrees, you can leave it to work on its own as you go on with other activities.
Unlike traditional drones, the Parrot Disco features two wings that enable it take off just like a kite. On tossing it in the air, it is able to pick up enough momentum to enable it float for as long as 45 minutes. It can also fly at a speed of up to 50 MPH and incorporates a 1080P camera at its nose.
Faraday Future FFZero1 Concept
One of the biggest appearances was by a company named Faraday Future with a high performance concept car, the FFZero1. This concept car is fully electric, travels over 200 MPH and is able to move from 0-60 speed in as little as three seconds.
The Cheero Sleepion three-in-one sleep solution
This is a strange gadget specifically designed to ensure you get a good night’s sleep. It features a speaker for playing you soothing sounds, a light that flickers like a candle, and a ceramic aromatherapy diffuser for emitting relaxing smells at a price of $190.
Garmin’s Varia Vision
This is an argumented reality display that you mount on your sunglasses to improve your road experience. At $400, it is able to alert you about traffic and give you directions.
The OMsignal OMbra
Being the world’s first smart bra, it comes with adjustable straps, a little black box to track performance, and removable padding for a more comfortable fit. This smart bra is able to sync up with your Smartphone after every workout and give details of the distance you have covered, breathing rhythm, and the calories you have burned.
